OOOOOOkay... So I've promised some people that I'll update my blog(as usual with the promising =P) so yeah. And besides, I've been enjoying my holidays after the DREADFUL(emphasize on the R) 2nd term which TOA is seriously drilling me to slowly become a (horrifying) workaholic, thank you very much. Well much have happened, what with the busy schedule of college work, the tshirt business(which so far is doing pretty well), people going off(Abhay and ChinFai), people who came back(tyrone) and people who are here but are non-existant for the moment(those who terasa then too bad lah). Now, get ready for your long awaited post!A reaaally long one too.

Since I'm on holiday and probably some people are bored and actually bother to read my blog, cheers to you! Bcause Im actually gonna update. Uhuhh.. on my trip to Pulau Perhentian! Yay to me! =P

So just after I was done with my final presentation in Design Method 2 class(which Sweii and some seniors said they were satisfied with my project.Yay again!) I had to come back and pack up Perhentian the next day. It's a 5 day 4 night trip, which on the last night we would stay in Kota Bharu just for the heck of it.

Day 1: journey to Pulau Perhentian

We had the taxi guy to come pick us up and send us to the LCCT. Took AirAsia(our tickets costs rm0.99. No, I did not make a type error, its true.Only that when you add in the airport tax and stuff it becomes rm100 for a 2-way ticket. Not bad ok!

Our flight was around 1pm like that.(thank god it wasnt one of those early morning ones where you have to arrive at the airport before the sun even rises!) When we reached there just ate our lunch and checked-in. Okok, skip the flight part. ooh!handsome steward! =P

Anyways, we landed in Kota Bharu.First time there.VERY small airport.I mean, you pick up your bag and you're already at the front of the airport. Well then we got this very lovely atok as our taxi driver. A really kind man. Talks alot, but still nice. A good guide, bringing us to the kampung area and stuff. The journey to the jetty is REALLY long mind you. Even longer then the flight from KL to K. Bharu. =.=

When we got to Kuala Besut we had to go to the Tuna Bay(the resort we will be staying) office and get them to settle our boat ride. While waiting,my dad and I walked around the town to find a kedai runcit to get food stuff & all, the town was pretty dead.Friday was their off day too. -.-

We finally got to our boat, and off we went for Pulau Perhentian. There goes another hour.

But it was worth the wait. The island is so LOVELY! My long awaited holiday finally coming true. The sea was so blue, and clear, can see the fishies swimming right at the beach side.

Owh well, we checked-in, mother suddenly got a shock that there was no tv and fridge, and we went out to eat. By that time it was almost 7pm. And guess what? I knocked out and fell dead asleep before 9pm. =P

Day 2: An early start!

Because of my dead-sleep moment, I woke up at 6:30am. My sis was awake too since she was praying. Then we both decided to go out to the beach and check out the sun rise. It had a really calm feeling, and I loved it, eventhough my sis was busy talking on the phone with her ehemm.

Around 7:30am we went back and took a shower before going for breakfast. Finally my parents woke up. Breakfast was good. Breathing in the cool air coming from the sea, while enjoying your toast & omellete with a cup of juice, what's not to love?

After we were done, my parents went back to their room while my sis and I stayed back for awhile and just lepak at the restaurant's err balcony(?) I think.or terrace?ok, something like that.It looks out towards the beach. The abang who took our order started chatting with us and told us about the full-moon party happening that night at long beach. Said it would be better if we went along with them since they are our resort staff.

Then my mom came. -.-

Oh well... We planned on taking a boat to go to the other side and check out the beach,(this excludes my dad). So we went to one of the abang boat, there were 2 of them; 1 was an older guy while the other looked younger around 20 plus. So we were discussing where would be nice to go, and my mom has been stressing out her brain about the resort she wanted to go the last time but couldnt remember. The conversation between the 2 guys was quite funny, they were arguing about the place which was nice to go to, in the end the younger guy just said "whatever larr.." in his Kelantanese slang. ^-^'

We ended up going to the Perhentian Island Resort area. Which ended up being the place which my mom was looking for. The area is muuuch nicer, looked more lively. And it had a longer stretch of beach. The 2 abang decided to follow us around while another guy who was driving the boat waited for us at the other side. There was even a nice track for us to walk to the other end.

We were there for awhile and soon we went off again to go back. By the time we reached back, it was already 5pm. We went back to our room and changed, to go swimming!!!At the beach. It was so nice...We bought a snorkel and swam, and there were HUGE fishes! My sis started freaking out. It was really relaxing. Before 7pm we got out and went to take a shower.

Dinner time came. Just had peanut butter sandwich and I accompanied my mom watching fantastic four 2 on my dad's laptop.

Owh, the other abang who works at the reception came by to our room and asked if we wanted to go for the party. (I wish!) but it was sweet of him to ask again. =)

Day 3: A good last day in Perhentian

The normal morning routine, but I woke up at 8:30am. Our plan for the day was to go back to that other side of the beach but along with my dad and take a swim there, but around 3pm or so. So we had time to kill.My sis and I did the normal lepak session. We even went back and forth from the kedai runcit which was a nice shack this kakak owns.So we tend to lepak there too.

My mom told me to get some ice from the resort restaurant so I did. We had to pay for it mind you. So I called the abang and asked for rm3 worth of ice. And when he did, I noticed he gave alot for rm3. He said he gave extra. Aww... sweet guy.hahah!

That reminds me, my sis and I have been encountering with some funny situations with the staffs there. First was the reception guy. My sis asked which way was the kiblat(position to pray) and he stared at us for a veeery long time, which was really funny. Then he finally gave us the direction, after doubting his answer for a moment. Then there was this other abang. When we asked for "sudu"(spoon) he was like "sudu?" we nodded. "sudu?? spoon?spoon?" (with the Kelantan slang) We nodded even more. It must've been weird for them to speak malay to us since practically everyone who stays there are mat sallehs.

So yeah, it was 4pm and we got the same abang boat as the day before to send us to the other side. We even got his number so we could call him when we were done. The swim there was even better!BIGGER fishes! I even saw this weird looking leech-like thingy stuck to the stones. And a rainbow-coloured fish. And dory!hahah! Too many to mention. My mom got excited because she finally gets to swim in a humongous aquarium.

By 6:30pm we called the abang and he picked us up,his family came along.(he was MARRIED!I'm guessing) has kids too. nyekk...

Well when we got back we quickly showered and got ready for dinner.I wore the dress I bought from the Kakak's shack.teehee. Dinner was sooo good!Took the chef's special which mixed all kinds of seafood. Yumm!

After dinner my sis and I decided to lepak one last time but sat by the beach on the lounge chairs the whole night. There were so many stars. Cool breeze too.

You would be quite surprised what you see at night at the beach.(nothing scary ok) First it was this white dude who suddenly wanted to go for a swim what not with his skimpy trunks.(it was NOT a good sight) And he kept swimming in and out of the sea it started to annoy me. Then out of the blue I saw this guy wearing a sort of robbers-mask siap with the toncet on top and cropped area for the eyes and walking around with a torchlight. I was about to scream out "Nak rompak bank ke bang??" but I couldnt stop myself from laughing. Found out later he was actually the guard of the resort.

While my sis was on the phone, I saw most of the staff from the resort come out to the beach. Realized they were getting ready a small birthday surprise for one of the staff. I found out later on it was the abang who always came & talk to us whenever he takes our order. They asked us to join along.Gave us some cake and drinks. At first I didnt want to because I might intrude their small gathering. But after so many times each person came and asked we eventually did. First came the thin chinese guy(ah kong if Im not mistaken), who I realized was the dude who said hi to me earlier when I got back from the other beach. Then it was birthday guy. Then the third time was the guy who gave extra ice. huhuhh...

I liked hanging out with them. Quite a cool group of people.Laid back and stuff. There were about 8 guys and 1 girl excluding me and sis. And they got me to feel like working in an island too.So relaxing!! Found out the older guy has worked in KL before in Istana Hotel and also in JB. The rest have never stepped in KL before.Wish I could bring them back here some day. ;)

Then the ice guy said he wanted to just see how the sea water is,since they planned on making the birthday guy swim later. When he did, another dude tried to push him in but couldnt. And they started running around. The bigger chinese guy went to grab him and they started pushing and pulling and all the bigger chinese guy had to do was turn and ice guy fell flat into the water.Damn funny lah. The reception guy(Im guessing his name is Amir) but people kept calling him Ah Meng. Heheh he always gets bullied by the birthday guy,who is really talkative. Later on the 2 malay guys who I noticed stayed at our resort too came by and they were asked to join too. Found out they were from KL. One of them is the manager of Maison. And their sole purpose of the trip was to go for the full moon party. Which from the videos they showed me on their handphone, it looked AWESOME!

Well we had to go back to the room by 2am bcause mom was calling like crazy, thinking we ran off for the party of something. Wish I could have stayed longer though.heheh.

Conclusion of the night?

Day 4: ByeBye Perhentian =(
I woke up abit later than usual. Had my breakfast. This time when I went to get the omellete, I started chatting with the abang(he didnt come last night) who my family thought he was so quiet, but he actually isnt.Found out hes from Terengganu and specializes in Western cooking. He was the one who convinced me to work there even more. huhuhh...

We went back to the room and packed up our bags, sadly. And we waited for our 12pm boat. I wasnt able to say bye to everyone but got most of them.Ah Meng(Amir),ice guy, birthday guy, bigger chinese guy which the last thing he said to me "See you in Velvet!"(inside joke).

And off we went back to the mainland. OK, Kota Bharu?DONT even try to compare. Honestly that will be my first and last time staying there. It was so friggin hot and dusty. And the taxi driver gave us a tour of Kota Bharu in less than 1/2 hr. Its THAT small.

We ate our lunch. Then went around to look for batik.Which had almost the same price as in KL. I havent felt that much of sweat since sports practice. I think I felt even more wind during sports practice then this time.

Well the hotel we stayed had tv and fridge. I felt awkward watching tv so it took me some time to absorb. The only nice thing bout the hotel was the shower. There were 3 shower heads pointing to 3 different parts of your body!hahah!

At night my mom and I enjoyed laughing since they were showing Pendekar Bujang Lapok. =)

Day 5: Going Home time!
My sis and I couldnt WAIT to get back to KL, thanks to Kota Bharu. Our flight was at 3pm. So mom and dad did last minute shopping and came back sweating like crazy(as expected). we left our hotel early and reached the airport at 1:30pm. I didnt even know why we reached there early. And you wanna know what? Found out that our flight got cancelled. And the next one was at 5pm! This HAD to happen when there was nothing much to do in the airport. My sis got really pissed but we had no choice anyways. So we just killed our time, ate slowly, walked around, read some mags.

And our flight finally came!

So yeahh. We're back in KL. Back to reality. Urghh.

Oh well, paradise can come another time! ;)

♥Bid Farewell
