Yikes. I think the forces of nature are making me be the leader in projects this term. >.<
Currently, Im the project manager for marketing & consumer behaviour class, which is understandable why the group made me the manager since we're doing about 'Woots' which is my cute lil clothing label with fadzilla. =P
Then, I'm also the project manager for videography class, which I REAAALLY didnt expect it. The story goes like this. When we had to tell the lecturer our idea for the documentary project, he suddenly told us to go out 1-by-1 presentation-like and tell him bout our idea and what research we had done so far. This was what were running through in our heads; "WTF!?!?WHAT REEESEARCH!!??!". eyeah, we all thought we just had to give our idea proposal. so 1 by 1 they all went out and gave out their ideas.
samantha: dragonboat festival
joanne: undertaker (something about 9 Emperor festival..or something like that.I found it interesting though)
chen: teochew cuisine. (about an old restaurant which survived throughout the years in melaka)
chris: hot spring (settlement which was built near a hot spring, and govrnment announced it will be demolished by early next year. I liked this one too!)
wahyu: ancient churches
tanyus: chinese medicine shop
selvia: nasi lemak.( haha!it was funny about how it started.will tell u later. =P)
ME: malaysian underground scene / waris keris.
yeahh. I proposed 2 ideas, because I had afew but I didnt have much info to support it. So the 2 ideas I put it out because I have contacts for both. Underground scene contact is Ismail, while the keris I have Khal's uncle;whom I havent met yet. So as you can see, I have a muuuch better contact with Ismail. But, whattado, they chose the other one, which I just spat out whatever I know, I didnt even research bout it. Just something I know from people and all long before this. The keris story was the one with the least info at that particular time. And now I end up leading the group for the story. huhuhuh. but it's alright. I have tanyus, selvia and samantha.
Oh yeah, bout the nasi lemak story. Was funny because selvia didnt have any topic to talk about since she didnt know the documentary had to be about 'malaysia'. so I was just discussing with her while kenny was doing something(and this was right after I was done with my turn!) we had less than 2mins to discuss.I just asked what she knows bout malaysia.FOOD. what about food?NASI LEMAK. then I just said maybe talk bout the makcik who sells nasi lemak or whatever. suddenly kenny called her up. and she just said nasi lemak. and somehow we started a debate in class about nasi lemak. nyekk?? i know. but still it was fun. chris and I were sorta debating bout which one is more important; the nasi or the sambal? I say sambal, she says nasi. she says "whats a nasi lemak without the nasi?" and I say "what's the nasi lemak without the sambal?' and we've struck an interesting topic. =)
ah well...videography class is gonna get reaaaaally tough.
wish me luck! =)

Legend Hotel's telemarketing people are a bunch of assholes.
And my internet is a dumbass.
Let me explain on the internet first. Streamyx is being the usual bitchtard; making my internet connection like shit.Probably doing the usual round of taking away my priviledge of connectivity and spreading it all over to the other areas or something. When Im infront of the pc,it goes off. When Im not there, my MSN Messenger will make my status online!WTF?!? grrrr...!
Now to the 'BEST' part. About the Legend Hotel's telemarketers. They have a reaaaaaally weird way of marketing their stuff to the public. REALLY! Ok, so the story goes like this. I was cleaning up, waiting for a call from 'someone', and I heard my handphone. So I ran for it, and end up being curious about this KL number. I picked up, and a really sengauvoice of a guy started talking about the Legend Hotel's promotion and crap.Saying if I went for the function I would get a free stay. I rejected. He said the terms & condition is that I have to be 27 yrs old and above(odd age limit but whatever.) And I said I cant then. He suddenly asks how old am I. 18. And will u believe it, he starts asking where I stay and crap. I just said KL. He blabbered bout how big KL is and he just said he lives in Sentul. Oooookaaay...And to end the whole conversation he had the guts to say; "Okay then...I'll sms you tonight k??" ... seriously. WTF!!?!?!?!?! Right after I put down the phone, he smsed me. I really had no heart sms-ing him I was shocked at my mean-ness. But he deserved it. Here's some of the sms's. Sorry, it's mostly in malay.
Dumbass Legend Hotel Dude: hey yana... **wrong spelling!!!strike 1!** Me: emm hi... name i diana lar... u mamat legend hotel sengal tdi tu ekk Dumbass Legend Hotel Dude: aik, u cakap i sengal plak.naughty u ni.tak baik tau.my name is ariff.. **OMG! he actually has a NAAME!** Me: emm ok..dah memang u sengal pown. so macam mane u dapat nombor i? Tough luck.
He smsed me again today!!!
Dumbass Legend Hotel Dude: U katne? I free today, jom jumpa jap. **WTF!?!?** Me: Siapa ni? Dumbass Legend Hotel Dude: Ariff. Legend hotel. U tak save my number? **duhh.NO!** Me:Owh.. Tak. So yeahh. Days have gone by, and I've started my new term. ALREADY! yeah, I know, unbelievable. BUT oh well, life goes on right?same shit, different day?
Anyhow,anywho... Let's just quickly go through what HAD happened.Whatever that I can remember that is.
Emm.. Let's see, I bumped into Shwe Wah the other day when I was in OU. I was in TGI Friday's and wanted to order my food, and suddenly I find out shes the waitress! Yes, quite a strange way to bump into an old & unexpected friend.
Then...ouh yeah, after 2 years of not seeing him in person, I finally got a chance(more like the TIME) to meet up with Danyel.(to those who were with me at that time & who didnt know; he's the dude I randomly made friends with when he was busking at the KLCC LRT station) So yea, we met up where we had first met, which unfortunately was KLCC(yawnn...). He brought along his friends; Biggie & Mior. Really nice guys. Then we ended up going to Times Square and walked around and, went jamming.huhuhu. While waiting for the jamming room, Danyel took some random guy's guitar(with permission) and started singing, accompanied by his back-up singers; Biggie & Mior. Damn funny!but it was still a nice way to kill time. =P
In the end, the other guys who were waiting for their room joined along. Anyways, went back with fadzil after that. (sorry yeahh... =D)
Another interesting thing, the gigs. Ok, during the holidays I went for 2. The first one I forgot what it was called, but the 2nd gig was the Harmonic May Rockestra at MCPA grand hall. Was daaaamn nice. And I didnt expect it to be damn cold too. Anyways, for this gig, 4 bands(Butterfingers, Couple, Muck, Hujan) would play with the accompany of an orchestra. Then there were the acoustic sets too from other bands. Our tshirts were sold at an average amount, enough to get abit of profit. Cant be blamed, since there were the BIGGER tshirt labels there. Met Ismail there too. Crazy bugger, went and made a stage dive without me. huhuhuh.
Performances wise, there were nice acoustic sets too by News at 11(love them!'WOOTS' is desiging their new tshirt) and Julie Goes Overseas. I cant remember some of them since I didnt get to go with the crowd, but still could see the prformance. Then the bands with orchestra, I would say the best were Butterfingers and Couple. Hujan was a total waste of money since they hardly used any orchestra AND he didnt sing. pshh!
Well I dont have any pics to show, but I'll just show some of the prformance video I took from youtube(we all love youTube riiiite.. =D). Too bad Couple's performance videos are not uploaded yet. If there are other good videos I'll post it up. If I remember.
Butterfingers. This was when they first came out. The vocalist can play violin??
Ermm cant remember what was the song, think it was kabus ribut, or something like that.
Julie Goes Overseas. I like another song of theirs, but there werent any videos of it.Oh well.
